Pros and Cons of Evergreen and Live Launch Strategies

We both agree that each strategy has unique advantages and disadvantages. Evergreen funnels, often pitched as a "set it and forget it" model, have a lot more moving parts and require ongoing testing and validation. On the flip side, live launches can be a high-pressure, event-driven strategy that can bring in significant cash infusions but often require meticulous planning and execution.

I love the adrenaline rush of live launches, reminiscent of my retail days, while Rachel favors a balanced mix of 80% evergreen with occasional live launches. Each method has its star qualities but also its pitfalls.

How to Optimize Your Launch Strategy

Optimizing your launch strategy is all about understanding which method aligns better with your goals, business needs, and resources. Live launching is excellent for building trust and engagement, especially for high-ticket offers that need more personal touchpoints. Evergreen funnels work best for established businesses with strong top-of-funnel strategies and a well-optimized customer journey.

However, both methods require thorough planning and traffic driving to be successful. Rachel and I have seen that lack of traffic is the primary reason evergreen funnels fail, while live launches can become chaotic without a solid project plan.

Both launch strategies have their merits and shortcomings, but the key to success lies in your preparation. Evergreen funnels offer the promise of automation but need significant upfront work and constant fine-tuning. Live launches deliver excitement and immediate returns but can be labor-intensive and stressful if not planned correctly. Whichever path you choose, ensuring that it aligns well with your business's current stage and future goals is crucial.
